UV-block Goggles are included with each Lumera System for eye protection. Ultraviolet
radiation is harmful to the eyes and eye protection is
necessary during treatment (every person present in
the treatment room must wear UV-block Goggles while the
Lumera System is activated, whether for calibration,
radiometric testing or treatment). Additional goggles can be
ordered from Daavlin by contacting sales or
customer service departments (www.daavlin.com).
The protective eyewear provided with wrap-around shields
meets the ANSI Z87.1-2003 standard and blocks 99.9% of
UVB wavelengths 180-380 nm. If other eyewear is used, it
must meet the same standard.
The Lumera Meter measures UVB output for
calculation of treatment times.
