Ethan
Lerner, M.D., Ph.D., Chairman, is a founder of Lerner
Medical Devices, Inc. and an inventor of the fiberoptic
hairbrush. He is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at
Harvard Medical School. Dr. Lerner’s laboratory is at the
Cutaneous Biology Research Center at Massachusetts General
Hospital. He is the author of over 75 articles, and his work has
been supported continuously by competitive research grants from
the National Institutes of Health for more than ten years. In
addition to his academic duties, Dr. Lerner is an innovator with
credits including a previous start-up company that was
successfully acquired. He holds one dozen U.S. patents. |

John R. Lyon, BA, President and CEO, Member, Board of
Directors, Mr. Lyon has more than twenty years of
experience in the launching of medical technology products,
including surgical and medical lasers, ultrasonic and
electrosurgical systems and minimally invasive visualization
systems and instruments. Most recently he has been CEO of Leptos
Biomedical Inc., a start-up neuromodulation company and
President and CEO of Vista Medical Technologies, a developer of
visualization systems for minimally invasive surgery. Previously
Mr. Lyon was President of Cooper Surgical, a women’s health
company; co-founder of AOT, Inc. an orthopedic equipment company
and President of the International Division of Cooper Laser
Sonics, Inc. a leading provider of medical and surgical lasers.

Zafiris
Gourgouliatos, Ph.D., Chief Technology Officer, and a Company co-founder. Dr. Gourgouliatos is a
biomedical and optical engineer with over 15 years of
experience in the medical device industry. After earning his
undergraduate degree in electrical engineering in Greece, Dr.
Gourgouliatos pursued graduate studies in biomedical engineering
as a Fulbright scholar at the University of Texas in Austin. His
doctoral research involved interaction of light with tissue and
effects of laser light on the skin. He holds four patents and
has been published in many scientific journals. As a graduate
student, Dr. Gourgouliatos worked with Michael Dell at Dell
Computers in its very early stages. Before co-founding Lerner
Medical, he managed new product development of endoscopic
illumination products at Cogent Light Technologies, Inc. Dr.
Gourgouliatos was the principal investigator in the SBIR award
that funded initial development of the Fiberoptic Hairbrush
during Lerner Medical's start-up phase. |

David
Chang, BSME, Vice President, Operations and
Engineering, is a mechanical engineer with extensive knowledge
in development and manufacturing of optical medical devices and
computer products with over 26 years of experience in the field.
Mr. Chang is a hands-on engineer and experienced manager and has
successfully taken several products from conception to
production. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from
UCLA and has worked for Elec-Trol, Inc., developing production
automations, and Micropolis Corporation designing
high-performance disk drives. Mr. Chang founded Avitech, Inc., a
PC-based point-of-sales software company. Before joining Lerner
Medical, he managed product development and engineering of
fiberoptic illumination projects as a colleague of Dr.
Gourgouliatos at Cogent Light Technologies, Inc. Mr. Chang holds
four patents, two in fiberoptics. |

Anderson, M.D., Ph.D., is Research Director of the Wellman
Center for Photomedicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and
Professor of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School. He is
co-inventor of the fiberoptic hairbrush. Dr. Anderson is a
member of the scientific advisory board of several companies
involved in biomedical optics. He is one of the most recognized
individuals in Dermatology and a keynote speaker at major
dermatology meetings. He has provided valuable advice on
scientific matters related to phototherapy and photobiology. |
